“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colours. And the people there see you differently, too.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving”

~ Terry Pratchett ~

Travel is such a fabulous vehicle for growth.

What may begin as a simple holiday can turn out to be a life-changing experience that moves you in such a way that you are never quite the same person as you were before you left.

It is a chance to widen your world by opening yourself to new sights, scents, feelings, flavours and sounds; and, perhaps, reconnect you with that dusty intuition that has been placed on the shelf during the day-to-day routines of life.

It is invigorating in every sense of the word; offering a chance to turn the page or begin a new chapter.

To begin, or continue, afresh with a bounce in your step and a zest for life!

Sometimes we need our world to be “shake-d”, rattled and rolled in order to reawaken those parts of ourselves that have been dormant for too long.

To breath life in and drink from its’ well and in doing so feel our own spirit come alive once again.

And travel can be as fun or as educational as you choose it to be – hey, in fact, travel makes education fun!

It often has the most beautiful classrooms; the wisest teachers; and offers authentic experiences.

Looking at the bigger picture, this planet is our home and we should walk its’ corridors and enter its’ rooms.

There are gardens to be explored and neighbours to meet!

And when it is time to return to our part of the house, we take with us a library of discoveries and knowledge that those around us will be able to learn from too.

Because, at the end of the day, we are all teachers and we are all learners.

And it is deciding what it is we wish to teach and what it is we wish to learn.

The best part is, you don’t have to venture to the corners of the earth in order to travel.

Begin where you are, with how you can and go from there.

But go!

Go see the world!

It is never too late and it is waiting to be discovered!
